What makes a story? For me, it are the choices my protagonist makes. Here I outline three simple questions I ask myself when writing conflict into my stories.
The three questions you can ask yourself:
What is the opposite of what my protagonist wants?
What is the worst possible alternative for my protagonist?
If they are able to reach their objective, what is the cost my protagonist?
